thorough and indepth perspective on ship model building

Plenty of information and history but a little too dence to easily find topics.

Invaluable book about ship modeling. Lots of helpful hints and information on how to make jigs, tools and why you should do this or that to be a successful ship modeler.

Great help making my rc topsoil schooner. Focuses on heavier class ships, but the information is pricesless

Really disappointed with book. Very little illustrations and helpful tips. If you want this book, I would suggest you buy it as cheaply as possible.

Excellent, excellent book. I've been building wooden ship models for over 20 years and yet I still found this little book to be a most enjoyable read, packed full of very useful information. The original copyright is 1926 and it's incredible to realize that every nautical term used back then in reference to ship modelling is still used today. Hands down this is one of my best pieces of reference material. Before I start another project I'll take time to read this book over again.

This book was very helpful with regards to rigging and other fine details of construction that are never covered in instruction manuals. I bought the set of three books that you recommended and they are wonderful.

I purchased this book as background research for my series of novels about the Marines in the Civil War (The Forgotten Marines). I am very pleased with the content.
