The cutest book! Not an instant classic, but spurred a conversation about sharing, and being together, and pies of all sorts.
My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves this book. It's very simple and a quick read, but what really makes are the illustrations which are detailed and create a "warm and cozy" feel for the story.
Very repetitive, but overall okay. Children will have it memorized in no time.
Love it! Great illustration, story and message.
Wonderful story and pictures make this a perfect book to read to your children and one they will love to read to you.

Who's hungry? In All for Pie, Pie for All, apparently everyone is, from the oldest cat to the youngest ant, and everyone wants a piece of Grandma Cat's apple pie! The story goes from the cats eating the pie to the mice eating the pie to the ants eating the pie until it's all gone. Then the cycle starts all over again at the end of the book, but this time, everyone helps to make the pie. The illustrations reminded me just a little of Richard Scarry, and I guess that made me a little nostalgic about Busytown, but I really did like the drawings in this picture book. There were a lot of neturals used, which I think gives the book a home-y feel to it. That's definitely a good thing when you're reading a book about apple pie!
My boy was 22 mos when I bought this book. We bought it in the Fall to celebrate that season. The pictures are not as stark and vibrant as most books for this age group, and they took some getting used to for my boy.Now, after numerous readings of this book, it has become absolutely one of his favoritest books. He asks for it by saying "yes yes yes yes yes!" which is a line repeated in the book. When you read the book, I recommend adjusting your voice to make a difference between the cat/mouse/ant voices because that seems to be a distinction that delights the child.A huge favorite!!
