About the Author
Charles Odwin, BS,RT, RDMS has been active in ultrasound since 1979 and is a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer. He helped create the local ultrasound society in New York in 1983 and is a past-president of the New York State Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Mr. Odwin has published multiple articles in ultrasound journals and has received an award for Publishing Excellence from the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. As an artist he has contributed as a medical illustrator to ultrasound test books. He is an instructor in ultrasound schools and is the primary author of several books and contributing author in others. Mr. Odwin is currently teaching ultrasound to emergency department physicians. The CD that comes with this book by far makes this purchase worth it. There are quizzes in multiple formats that are so helpful. You can burn the CD to as many computers as needed which is convenient. So, make sure the book that you purchase comes with the CD! I used Lange along with Ovel and Edelman for my SPI, AB, and OB/GYN. Passed all three on first attempt. My advice: use multiple sources to study for all registries.
Wonderful book! Helped me pass my physics, abdomen, and OB&GYN. The information is easy to understand and remember. I will be using it for my vascular exam next!
Great deal for the price. I tried passing the registry with just Davies and I failed. Some of the question on the CD are missing images or may be wrong etc.. The book however is an excellent resource and cleared up some incorrect information I had.
If you need to study for the exam, get this book. No joke, thousands of test questions are in here.
Helped me pass my ARRT. I'd used the questions and then my school books plus the Internet to research everything and anything I got wrong - so that by the end I wasn't just remembering the answers only - but I knew WHY. It's an awesome prep book. - but like all things - doesn't work unless you do.
